The SVMT Affiliate Teacher
Code of Ethics &
Guiding Principles
A Living Commitment
To teach through Meditate: School of Mindfulness & Sound (MSOMS) is to step into a role of stewardship.
Affiliate Teachers are entrusted with carrying the SVMT Method of Transformation through sound, vibration, mindfulness, and embodied presence. This responsibility extends beyond curriculum delivery—it is a commitment to how the work is held, transmitted, and lived.
This Code exists to protect:
- The safety and dignity of students
- The integrity of MSOMS as a school
- The coherence of the SVMT Method
- The wellbeing and clarity of Affiliate Teachers
Principle of Integrity
I teach from truth, not ego.
- • I represent MSOMS programs and the SVMT Method accurately and faithfully
- • I teach only what I am trained, approved, and authorized by MSOMS to teach
- • I do not alter, dilute, rebrand, or misrepresent the SVMT curriculum
- • I understand that my role is to serve the teachings, not redefine them
Integrity means I do not place my personal identity above the work I carry.
Principle of Lineage & Stewardship
I am a steward, not an owner.
- • I recognize Meditate: School of Mindfulness & Sound as the institutional holder of the SVMT lineage
- • I honor the source of the teachings and the responsibility they carry
- • I understand that permission to teach through MSOMS is a privilege, not a right
- • I hold the SVMT Method with reverence and care as it moves through me
I allow the work to remain intact as it is shared.
Principle of Embodied Presence
I teach from lived practice, not performance.
- • I actively practice the SVMT Method in my own life
- • I model nervous system regulation, groundedness, and humility
- • I remain aware of my personal capacity, boundaries, and limits
- • I tend to my own embodiment so I do not unconsciously offload onto students
Presence—not expertise—is my primary teaching instrument.
Principle of Student Safety
I prioritize safety over spectacle.
- • I create trauma-informed, consent-based learning environments
- • I respect students’ autonomy, boundaries, and pacing
- • I do not coerce participation or override a student’s inner knowing
- • I remain within my scope of practice at all times
I remember that sound and vibration can open deep layers and must be held with care.
Principle of Ethical Power & Authority
I do not misuse influence.
- • I do not position myself as a guru or authority over a student’s life
- • I do not exploit vulnerability for admiration, loyalty, or control
- • I maintain clear professional, relational, and energetic boundaries
- • I do not blur therapeutic, sexual, emotional, or financial roles
True authority arises from clarity, restraint, and humility.
Principle of Consent & Choice
Nothing is forced. Everything is invitational.
- • I explain practices clearly before engaging them
- • I invite participation rather than demand compliance
- • I honor “no,” hesitation, and withdrawal without judgment
- • I respect that each nervous system has its own timing and rhythm
Consent is ongoing, embodied, and essential.
Principle of Cultural & Spiritual Respect
I teach with humility and inclusivity.
- • I do not appropriate, sensationalize, or distort cultural or spiritual practices
- • I speak from lived experience, not borrowed authority
- • I honor diversity of identity, belief, and lived experience
- • I cultivate learning spaces rooted in dignity and respect
The SVMT Method is grounded in universality, not supremacy.
Principle of Professional Responsibility
I teach responsibly and transparently.
- • I clearly communicate what MSOMS training is—and is not
- • I do not make medical, psychological, or guaranteed outcome claims
- • I encourage students to seek appropriate professional support when needed
- • I maintain appropriate insurance, safety protocols, and ethical business practices
Clarity protects students, teachers, and the school.
Principle of Continued Learning & Accountability
I remain a student of the work.
- • I participate in required MSOMS trainings, updates, and affiliate gatherings
- • I remain open to feedback, reflection, and correction
- • I take responsibility for mistakes and participate in repair when needed
- • I understand that Affiliate Teacher status may be reviewed, paused, or revoked by MSOMS
Accountability is a form of devotion to the work.
Principle of Community & Collaboration
I teach in relationship, not isolation.
- • I respect fellow MSOMS Affiliate Teachers and facilitators
- • I do not undermine, compete with, or discredit others
- • I contribute to a culture of collaboration and mutual support
- • I remember that the field strengthens when the circle remains intact
We rise together, or not at all.
Principle of Right Use of Branding & Materials
I protect the integrity of MSOMS materials and identity.
- • I use official MSOMS manuals, portals, and teaching materials as provided
- • I understand that all of the material is protected by copyright laws.
- • I do not copy, reproduce, or distribute materials without permission
- • I represent myself clearly as an MSOMS Affiliate Teacher, not the founder or owner
- • I do not imply authorization beyond my approved teaching scope
Clear boundaries preserve trust.
XII. Closing Commitment
As an Affiliate Teacher of Meditate: School of Mindfulness & Sound, stewarding the SVMT Method of Transformation, I commit to:
- Teach with humility
- Hold with care
- Lead with presence
- Serve the work rather than use it
Remember that how I teach is as important as what I teach.
